Accessibility Statement

Last updated: April 2026

9.1 Our Commitment

Seven Hills Iowa LLC is committed to ensuring that 7GenEdu.com is accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We believe that every parent, teacher, and guardian should be able to access high-quality educational materials for their children, regardless of ability. Accessibility is not an afterthought — it is a core part of how we design and build our platform.

9.2 Standards

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards, as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines are the internationally recognized benchmark for web accessibility and address a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.

We regularly review our Site against WCAG 2.1 Level AA criteria and prioritize remediation of any identified gaps.

9.3 Measures Taken

We have implemented the following accessibility measures across 7GenEdu.com:

  • Semantic HTML: We use proper HTML5 semantic elements (header, nav, main, article, section, footer) and ARIA landmarks to ensure screen readers can accurately interpret page structure and content.
  • Alternative text: All meaningful images, icons, and visual content include descriptive alt text. Decorative images are marked appropriately so screen readers skip them.
  • Color contrast: We maintain a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text, meeting WCAG AA requirements. Our design system enforces these ratios.
  • Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements (links, buttons, forms, menus, dialogs) are fully operable using keyboard-only navigation. No functionality requires a mouse.
  • ARIA attributes: We use WAI-ARIA roles, states, and properties to enhance the accessibility of dynamic content, custom components, and interactive widgets.
  • Resizable text: All text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality. Our layouts adapt fluidly to different text sizes and zoom levels.
  • Focus indicators: Visible focus indicators are provided for all interactive elements, ensuring keyboard users can always see where they are on the page.
  • Skip navigation: A "Skip to main content" link is provided at the top of every page, allowing keyboard and screen reader users to bypass repetitive navigation.
  • Tagged PDFs: We are progressively ensuring that downloadable printable PDFs are tagged with proper reading order, headings, and alternative text to make them accessible to screen readers and assistive technologies.

9.4 Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some areas may have limitations:

  • Some older printable PDFs may not yet be fully tagged. We are working to update these on an ongoing basis.
  • Third-party content (ads, embedded widgets) may not fully meet our accessibility standards.
  • Some content types (mazes, coloring pages, visual puzzles) are inherently visual in nature. We provide text descriptions where possible but the primary experience requires vision.
