Terms of Service

Welcome to 7GenEdu.com ("Site"), operated by Seven Hills Iowa LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Definitions

  • "Content" — all educational printables, worksheets, activities, text, graphics, and other materials available on the Site.
  • "User" / "you" — any person who accesses or uses the Site.
  • "Account" — your registered account on 7GenEdu.com.
  • "Subscription" — a paid plan (Learner, Educator, or Legacy) that grants access to premium Content.
  • "Paddle" — our third-party payment processor and merchant of record.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use our services. By creating an account, you represent that you are 18 or older. Our Content is designed for children ages 2–14, but the Site is intended for use by adults (parents, guardians, and teachers) on behalf of children.

In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. See our COPPA Privacy Policy for details.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information.
  • Keep your password confidential and not share your account credentials.
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Plans and Pricing

We offer the following plans:

  • Explorer (Free) — 25 free printables, standard quality PDFs, ad-supported experience.
  • Learner ($4.99/month) — Unlimited downloads, all 500+ premium printables, high-resolution print quality, new content weekly, ad-free experience. Cancel anytime.
  • Educator ($39.99/year) — Everything in Learner, plus early access to new content, exclusive seasonal packs, priority support, and classroom-use license. Save with Annual vs monthly.
  • Legacy ($99.99 one-time) — Everything forever, all future content included, priority email support, early access to all new content, VIP support, and priority feature requests.

We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. Existing subscribers will be notified at least 30 days before any price increase takes effect on their next renewal.

5. Payments via Paddle

All payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as our merchant of record. When you make a purchase:

  • Paddle handles all billing, payment processing, sales tax, and VAT.
  • Your payment information is collected and stored by Paddle, not by us.
  • Paddle's terms of service and privacy policy govern your payment transaction.
  • Learner plans auto-renew monthly; Educator plans auto-renew annually.
  • Legacy is a one-time payment with no recurring charges.
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting support@7genedu.com.

5A. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your profile page or by contacting support@7genedu.com.

  • Effective date: All cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain full access to your plan's features until that date.
  • No partial refunds: Cancelling mid-cycle does not entitle you to a prorated refund for the remaining days. See our Refund Policy for full details.
  • Plan changes: If you change your plan (upgrade or downgrade), the change takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle. Your current plan remains active until then.
  • After cancellation: Once your billing period ends, your account will revert to the Explorer (free) plan. Any previously downloaded Content remains yours to use per the license terms that were in effect at the time of download.
  • Legacy plans: Legacy (lifetime) plans are non-cancellable and non-refundable as they are a one-time purchase granting permanent access.

6. License and Usage Rights

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

  • Personal use: Download and print Content for personal, non-commercial educational use within your household.
  • Classroom use (Educator and Legacy plans): Print and distribute Content within your classroom or educational setting for students under your direct supervision.

You may NOT:

  • Redistribute, resell, sublicense, or share downloaded Content with others outside the scope of your license.
  • Upload Content to file-sharing platforms, social media, or other websites.
  • Modify Content and claim it as your own work.
  • Use automated tools to mass-download Content.
  • Use Content in any way that competes with 7GenEdu.

7. Intellectual Property

All Content, including but not limited to text, graphics, illustrations, designs, worksheets, logos, and software, is the exclusive property of Seven Hills Iowa LLC or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

The 7GenEdu name, logo, and all related marks are trademarks of Seven Hills Iowa LLC. You may not use them without our prior written permission.

8. User-Generated Content

If you submit content to the Site (reviews, comments, feedback, or suggestions), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, and display such content in connection with our services.

You represent that you own or have the right to submit any content you provide, and that it does not violate any third party's rights or any applicable law.

9. AI-Powered Features

7GenEdu may incorporate artificial intelligence features to enhance the learning experience. Regarding AI features:

  • Content generation: Some printables or suggestions may be generated or enhanced by AI. All AI-generated content is reviewed for quality and age-appropriateness before publication.
  • Personalization: AI may be used to recommend content based on age group, interests, and usage patterns.
  • No AI data collection from children: AI features do not collect, process, or store personal information from children.
  • Accuracy: While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors. We encourage adult review of all materials before use with children.
  • Transparency: Content that is primarily AI-generated will be labeled as such where practical.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
  • Content will meet your specific educational requirements.
  • Any errors or defects will be corrected.
  • The Site is free of viruses or harmful components.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SEVEN HILLS IOWA LLC, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SITE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SITE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Seven Hills Iowa LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Iowa, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. See Section 18 for full dispute resolution and arbitration provisions.

14. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination:

  • Your license to access and use the Site and all Content ceases immediately.
  • You must cease all use of downloaded Content except as permitted under your prior license terms for materials already printed.
  • We may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
  • Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification, dispute resolution, and arbitration) will survive.

15. Force Majeure

Seven Hills Iowa LLC shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms where such failure or delay results from acts beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, acts of God, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, pandemics, epidemics, strikes, power outages, internet service provider failures, or telecommunications failures.

16. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will provide at least 30 days' notice via email to the address associated with your account or through a prominent notice on the Site before they take effect. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Site and cancel your subscription.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal, and enforceable while preserving the original intent. If modification is not possible, the provision shall be severed. The invalidity of any provision shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.

18. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Iowa, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules.

  • Arbitration shall take place in Des Moines, Iowa, or remotely at your election.
  • The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding.
  • Class action waiver: You agree to waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action, class-wide arbitration, or representative action. All claims must be brought in your individual capacity only.
  • 30-day opt-out: You may opt out of this arbitration clause by sending written notice to support@7genedu.com within 30 days of creating your account. The opt-out notice must include your full name, account email, and a clear statement that you wish to opt out of arbitration.
  • International users: If you reside outside the United States, this arbitration provision applies to the fullest extent permitted by your local law. Nothing in this section deprives you of mandatory statutory consumer protection rights that cannot be waived under the law of your country of residence.

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, COPPA Privacy Policy, and any other policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and Seven Hills Iowa LLC regarding your use of the Site and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and communications, whether written or oral.
